Creating Codes

The codes currently in use are listed on the left-hand side of the screen. These can be created in several ways:

  • Using the Create code button located in the top-left

  • Selecting a passage in the currently opened document and clicking on the Create code button that appears

The color and the parent code can be selected from the same menu. The Description field can be used to specify the type of content to be included in the code.

Advanced uses: Experiment with the import function (see Importing Codebooks ) to create several codes at once, select colours for them or define a hierarchical relationship among them.
